WHY SHOULD WE BE USING 6C DILUTION MORE OFTEN?

Why should we be using 6C dilution more often?

I am using mostly 6C in water and sometimes 6X dry and or in water ( depending on how weak the vital force or how gentle the effect required). 6C works very well for acutes and if a faster action is required repetition is done every 15, 10, 5, 2 or 1 minutes – it almost always works if the right remedy is selected. For chronics 6C once a day first thing morning or last thing night is usually all that is required.

I have not needed to give more than one dose daily. The effect is seen very gradually over 10 to 15 days and can continue for 2 to 3 months or more. Intercurrent acutes 6C in water are also effective and only rarely the chronic remedy needs to be stopped for a few days to handle an acute. If a ‘constitutional (miasmatic)’ and a ‘chronic (pathological)’ remedy is required, the constitutional is given in 6C, the chronic in 6X or in 6C; it does not seem to interfere with the constitutional remedy. This lets me concentrate on the proper selection of the remedy, miasmatic, acute – the effect can be modified by modifying degree of dilution in water and number of succusions.

Robin Murphy (“COMMENTARY ON ORGANON OF MEDICINE 6TH EDITION”, “KEYNOTES OF THE MATERIA MEDICA” and “CASE ANALYSIS AND PRESCRIBING TECHNIQUES”) covers what I have termed above as ‘chronic (pathological)’ prescribing extremely well.

"It's the same story. I give them Sepia 6c in water and there's a dramatic cure. They say, "Wow, he's such a great prescriber!" I didn't do anything. Some people need a 6c and a 12c, and then they get better. So all those cases you get where they had the right remedy, just go back and give the same thing in water or an LM and you'll see dramatic results, and that is the proof of the system. We can't prove it from other cases, but within that same case we can prove it - that LM/l cured and 10M failed. What can we say? "
